Katherine Arnoldi, Ph.D., started College Mom Magazine in 2006, which continued until 2008 when she began a Fulbright Fellowship in Paraguay and was unable to continue. After many requests, she has brought College Mom Magazine back.

Katherine Arnoldi is the author of the graphic novel, The Amazing True Story of a Teenage Single Mom (Graymalkin Media, 2016) which tells of her own struggle to find the way to college as a teenage mother, It was named one of the Top Ten Books of the Year by Entertainment Weekly when it was first published in 1998 by Hyperion. She is also the author of All Things Are Labor, Stories (University of Massachusetts Press, 2007)

For over 15 years Rita Naranjo has served as an expert consultant, advisor, curriculum designer, keynote speaker, and trainer with extensive experience in presenting at conferences, leading workshops, participating on panels, and conducting lectures. Rita Naranjo started her own business, Of Many: Creative Life Action Network to serve as a vehicle for her to formally and effectively work within communities. She is a trainer for the Academy for Professional Excellence: Public Child Welfare Training Academy, and teaches Sociology courses at California State University San Marcos and San Diego City College.

​​College Mom Magazine advocates a non gender definition of "mom.". For example, our archives have included single fathers who attend college while raising their children alone..

Great! Thanks for your interest in helping us make College Mom Magazine even better. We pay $50. for every article accepted.  Submit your articles for consideration via the Contact page.   Your article should be no more than 1500 words (less in more) and  should  be double spaced MSWord or pdf. documents. Please let us know what photos you want to include or send a 72 dpi photo along with the article.  Allow at least 6 weeks for a response. We cannot accept all articles submitted.
