IF YOU ARE A PREGANT OR PRARENTING TEEN MOTHER DO NOT ALLOW THE HIGH SCHOOL TO COERSE YOU TO LEAVE.

NEW YORK CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION BEGINS CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THE NEW YORK CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR NOT ALLOWING TEEN MOMS TO ENROLL IN THE HIGH SCHOOL OF THEIR CHOICE.

In 1999 New York Civil Liberties Union began a class action lawsuit against the New York City Board of Education for coersing teen mothers. Interns at New York Civil Liberties Union pretended they were teen moms and called 28 high schools and only six would allow them to enroll without reservations.

This lawsuit is ongoing. To find out more go to the Reproductive Rights Project at

http://www.nyclu.org

If you feel you have been discriminated against call your local Civil Liberties Union to begin a lawsuit and fight for your rights, not only for yourself but for the teen moms that will come behind you.
